Declan Barry

Declan T. Barry, PhD, is a Professor of Psychiatry and Child Study at Yale School of Medicine. The main foci of Dr. Barry’s research are: (a) Developing and evaluating treatments for opioid use disorder and chronic pain, and (b) Examining the roles of sociocultural, psychological, and biological factors in the occurrence and treatment of pain and addiction. He is currently researching the effectiveness of a stepped care treatment approach for treating opioid use disorder and chronic pain.
